Health: 72 Organizations Excluded from the Ebola Response
The Minister of Health, Roger Kamba, announced this on Friday, October 16. Seventy-two (72) out of ninety-seven (97) organizations that failed to account for the use of funds allocated to the fight against Ebola are no longer authorized to operate on the ground without official accreditation.
Of the ninety-seven (97) organizations concerned, only twenty-five (25) submitted the required documentation to obtain accreditation.
The government is now demanding greater transparency and traceability in the management of funding mobilized for the public health response.
Hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake: accountability is becoming a non-negotiable requirement.
