Current Issues: Patrick Muyaya Gives an Update

Speaking about the current situation during an interview on Top Congo FM, Patrick Muyaya, Government Spokesperson, notably stated:

«“It is not the new sirens of the father, Rwanda, and the son, M23-New-Look, that can disrupt the framework of the various ongoing peace processes.”»

He went on to add:

«“Even less so the promise of death made to the Congolese people by Kabila’s eldest son, in the illusion of overthrowing institutions legally established by the people, the sovereign authority.”»

Continuing his remarks, the Minister of Communication and Media emphasized:

«“Alongside the ongoing process of neutralizing the FDLR, Rwanda must withdraw its troops from the DRC.”»

To this end, he stated:

«“A new meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee of the DRC–United States Agreement is scheduled to take place in the coming days to review the progress achieved.»

«We have notified Belgium of our disapproval regarding the manner in which the searches were conducted,” he concluded.»
