OCC – BOMA: Pierre Lohohola Calls on Staff to Embrace a Results-Oriented Culture

Following his tour of the Greater Katanga region, the Director General of the Congolese Control Office (OCC), Pierre Lohohola Osomba, is now in Kongo Central. In Matadi and Boma, two major gateways into the country that facilitate commercial exchanges, the OCC Director General promoted the organization’s ongoing drive for recovery, performance and efficiency. Addressing staff at the OCC Boma branch, DG Pierre Lohohola focused his message on professional responsibility, integrity and a results-oriented culture. He recalled the fundamental values that must guide all OCC inspectors, namely authority, integrity, courage and responsibility. He stressed the urgent need to carry out inspection and control missions with rigor, probity and professionalism. He also emphasized that fraud, complicity and any form of duplicity are incompatible with the responsibilities entrusted to OCC personnel. It will be recalled that, immediately after his appointment, this expert in the field announced a new leadership approach centered on performance and the modernization of equipment. This vision, he stressed, must go hand in hand with professional discipline. Pierre Lohohola Osomba therefore urged inspectors to deliver tangible results on the ground and to fully assume their responsibilities in protecting the national economy, securing commercial exchanges and defending consumer interests. As a results-driven leader, he also announced plans to strengthen the operational capacities of OCC personnel, particularly through the training of new inspectors who will be granted the powers of Judicial Police Officers (OPJs). The direction is clear: the new leadership intends to set the bar very high at the helm of the OCC. The staff of the OCC Boma branch took the opportunity to present Director General Lohohola with a list of their main needs and operational priorities. The new leadership immediately provided responses to most of the concerns raised by its staff in this part of the country. Upon his return to Kinshasa, DG Pierre Lohohola committed to providing the Boma branch with one or two vehicles, as well as laboratory equipment. Alert from the Director General of OCC, Professor Pierre Lohohola Osomba

In a message, the Director General of the Congolese Control Office (OCC), Professor Pierre Lohohola Osomba, is alerting all OCC executives, staff members, partners, and the general public about fraudulent activities carried out by individuals who are illegally using his name. According to the Director General, some fraudsters are using unknown phone numbers, going as far as imitating his voice during telephone calls. Others even appear in person, falsely claiming to work for him. Professor Pierre Lohohola Osomba makes it clear that he has not authorized or delegated anyone to act on his behalf. He therefore urges everyone to remain extremely vigilant and cautious in order to avoid being deceived. Professor Pierre Lohohola has only one verified Facebook account, “Pierre Lohohola,” and one official Twitter account. Key message: Do not be fooled. Stay vigilant and verify any request made in his name.
